Metal Powder Products, Inc. Human Resource Manager, Suzy Carlson, contacted the PA CareerLink® in Elk County early September 5th hoping to conduct open interviews for Class AA Die Setters, CNC Operators, and Operators the morning of September 7th at the PA CareerLink®, 245 Depot Street, St. Marys.PA

CareerLink® staff acted quickly on the request of Ms. Carlson; creating a posting on the JobGateway®, advertising the open interviews; developing and distributing a flyer showcasing the details of the event, and posting it to social media. Available shifts and hourly wages for each position were also publicized as: Class AA Die Setters starting at $28; CNC Operators at $16.24; and Operators at $14.20 and contributed to the overwhelming response.

Despite the limited time frame for advertising, over 60 individuals gathered for the open interviews and the employers expressed that the “turn-out” exceeded their expectations.
